It's that because the moral fiber of our nation has so eroded away over the past decade, our leaders, who have an obligation to be behave as a moral compass, do not even know how to behave with the least amount of civility and respect.

    Whether or not you agree with Joe Wilson saying it when he said it, he was right. I am thoroughly tired of the absolute lies coming out of Washington. When someone up there actually calls a spade a spade, it is refreshing. It a welcome break from the usual Congressional Collaborators.

    The more frightening “If looks could kill” were the rows upon rows of either stone faced or snickering Republicans to the President's left.

    Is there any doubt as to how much these people obstruct justice, or opportunity for the rest of us? I'm glad the camera showed them, over and over, in their stoney silence in the face of change that will help Americans live better.

    It is amazing how divided this country has become. I supported Obama's message of unifying America but now with the name calling, race baiting and Czars' words I've taken a closer look and have become disappointed with what I see. Obama is Bush on steroids and the two party system is one and the same. The media are water boys to their party and the truth is not the story. Truth seekers and people who question are lumped in with the WHITE angry OLD townhall people who are ALL terrorist, Hitler Swastika carrying Nazis. These are unifying words for our country? Where are the adults to bring responsible solutions for a country in crisis? Shame on Obama, his Czars and media for dividing US and using the poor blacks, Indians and minorities to hate the elderly and white race. Two wrongs don't make a right in America. Can we learn from our history? It appears government may want a race war and the elderly to blame with words and actions we hear and see. Why? Would they want to demonize a portion of our country when Obama won by unifying all races, gender and ages? What made him, the media and his people change? It's a bad repeated nightmare of seeing another Bush but only who is smarter and more confident. America are we in deep doodoo thinking we voted for a president who works for the people but instead works for bigger government? Our only hope maybe if America's eyes are open to how dangerous BIG government is for the freedom of all people.

    I was molested as a child and later as an adult I asked the person or one of the persons responsible for the rapes that happened to me,
    He told me a sad story of how a man forced the three of them in a car and
    raped and sodomized them at gun point…
    I cryed and he apologized and it healed me from what happened..
    I told him I forgive you,
    Mind you it was a family member…

    I think you lack a fundamental understanding of history. I don't think you have the foggiest idea of how political debate has worked since the founding of the nation. Just how much of a pass does our dear leader get before someone calls him out on a lie?

    For all those calling for Joe Wilson's resignation: Where was your indignation when Democrats boo'd Pres Bush? How about when Ted Kennedy hurled flaming accusations and gross distortions–or when Pelosi does it–or when Barney Frank makes incendiary remarks–or when John Murtha insults our troops–etc. Step down off your self-righteous platform and relax.

    Try fact checking before you post. All of the fact-checking sites SUPPORT Pres. Obama's claim about illegal immigrants not being covered. So why is it, even after Joe Wilson's outburst was debunked as “a lie”, you still want to blame Obama! Typical!

    Sure, he apologized, but he apologized for the outburst, not the lie he perpetuated in the process. The facts support Pres. Obama's claims about illegal immigrants not being covered. I would feel much better about the apology if he apologized for the outburst AND for mis-representing the facts and wrongly calling our President a liar.

    Fact: B.O. claimed reform would cover 47 mil uninsured.

    Fact: Bill does not prohibit coverage to illegals

    Fact: Dems refused amendment with provisions to prohibit coverage to illegals

    If they won't prohibit it, and they want it, they don't have to explicitly spell it out in the bill–it will come out in the adminstration of the law.

    That too is historical fact.

    While you can't rape the willing, her willingness does not absolve him of molestation. He was in a position of power and he used it for sexual gratification.

    He was in a position of power and authority over her. By virtue of his position, it is more than a consensual and inappropriate affair–it is at best a gross abuse of power.

    His sexual conquest of a girl young enough to be his daughter in the office that represented his power is nothing less than molestation. I am not surprised you neglected to provide a screen name while defending him.
