I completely get the fact that we enjoy the freedom to have political differences in America. What I don't get is outright public disrespect from those on the Hill for the highest political office in America.
In response to Anna Cruz. I suppose you didn't catch that it was ok for Obama to call Republicans liars early on in the speech, right? Sorry, president or not, he doesn't get it both ways. he doesn't get to be able to slam a group of people and expect people to sit there quiet about it. Not only did Obama call Republicans liars, he said he was “not going to waste time with people” that he perceived as wanting to kill reform, which is another lie by him. Everyone agrees reform needs to happen. Just not a socialist takeover of the health industry. So Obama can take his medicine. he doesn't get to use the bully pulpit to slam people and expect people to sit back and take it.

I somewhat agree, and I am a Republican. However, Obama's speech was far from professional. he called people liars and said he isn't going to “waste time on people” that don't agree with him. Gee, what a professional attitude.

oh, you mean like the constant disrespect of his predecessor before and after Obama got voted in? didn't seem to bother Obama that he also shows disrespect for a whole slew of people/groups. That was evident in his speech. But I suppose people just have to sit and take it and let him spew that nonsense and insults.
