CONGRESS...when is everyone going to finally realize..it's NOT the President we need worry about it's CONGRESS, they are all foolish children fighting each other in there stupid play ground, all they care about is getting re-elected and what is best for them, wake up people and call your congressmen or woman today and bitch them the hell out

@ wole very good point if we have no trust nothing can be built on the shaky foundation that exists, but for reality's sake because stated in the Consitution is that if the government is not providing for the people can and SHOULD be overthrown, and started over again BY the people. Now what Regan and the rest of the conservatives accomplished is separating the class system and creating such a gap that the halfs vs. the half-nots its inconcevible to imagine this government to ever be overthrown by the people, so basically we have to work with what we got! Barack is trying to establish trust and I believe since we actually have a president that's really WORKING to push agendas and revamping a system that doesn't work for anybody who's not profiting from it, then he has my vote!

Bush the fool #1 on the Blame list

The main problem is that since Ronald Reagan the Republicans and especially the most conservative wing has by word and deed told us that government doesn’t work, can’t work, and is the problem. Corporations have been glorified as the solution. Along comes George W. Bush, and he proves it to the max. He left a mess, and Obama must clean it up. We have some massive crisis issues. But people no longer trust governments (federal, state and local) to help solve problems, and every administration seems to add to this lack of trust. Although TARP was inherited, Obama fell into the trap that “government isn’t for the people” but is for the rich and corporations. Now Obama comes along with these big programs. They appear to many not to help the people. Now we have healthcare reform, and it too appears to many to help the healthcare industry more than real people. So what they see is more big intrusive government that doesn’t help us. What they are hearing is the Republicans and right-wingers shouting again, "You can't trust the government." Obama should work to increase trust in OUR government first.
